Pulmonary neuroendocrine cell hyperplasia is a proliferation of neuroendocrine cells confined by the bronchial basement membrane.

Features:
- Neuroendocrine cells.
- Salt and pepper chromatin.
- Arranged linearly along the bronchus - confined by the basement membrane.
DDx:
- Carcinoid tumourlet - extend beyond the basement membrane.
