Intrauterine device, abbreviated IUD, is a contraceptive device that is place in utero.

• Should be removed if Actinomycetes found on a pap test.

Gross

• T-shaped foreign body.
  • Top part of "T" typically at the fundus.

Microscopic

Features:

• +/-Psammoma bodies.
