Ovarian infarct

Ovarian infarct, also infarction of the ovary, is an uncommon pathology of the ovary. It may be seen in isolation or in association of benign (e.g. endometriosis) and malignant tumours.

General

  • Not common.
  • May arise in the context of ovarian torsion.[1][2]
