Rheumatoid arthritis, commonly abbreviated RA, is an autoimmune disorder.

Rheumatoid nodule

General

  • Usually only in seropositive cases.[1]

Microscopic

Features:[1]

  • Necrobiotic collagen surrounded by:
    • Plasma cells.
    • Palisading macrophages.

Notes:

  • Histomorphologically identical to Granuloma annulare.
