Human_herpesvirus-8, abbreviated HHV-8, is a virus that causes cancer.

General

Associated with a number of cancers:

• Kaposi sarcoma.
• Primary effusion lymphoma.
• Body cavity lymphoma.
• LBCL arising in HHV-8 associated multicentric Castleman disease.

Other:

• Castleman disease, plasma cell variant.

Microscopic

• No light microscopic changes.

IHC

• Usually HHV-8 +ve.
