Anal squamous cell carcinoma

Anal squamous cell carcinoma is a type of anal cancer.

It is also known as anal squamous carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma of the anus.

General

  • Most common form of anal cancer.
  • Associated with HPV infection.[1]

Risk factors:[2]

  • Men who have sex with men.
  • Immunosuppressed.
  • HIV infection.

Features:

DDx:

IHC

  • p16 +ve.[3]
  • CDX2 -ve/+ve.
