Positive predictive value (abbreviated PPV) and negative predictive value (abbreviated NPV) are statistical descriptors of diagnostic tests that depend on the prevalence.
Positive predictive value
Where:
- TP = true positives.
- FP = false positives.
Negative predictive value
Where:
- TN = true negatives.
- FN = false negatives.
