- Palisading granuloma with a core collagen-like material.
- +/-Cholesterol clefts - common.
- +/-Touton giant cells.
- +/-Atypical foreign body-type giant cells +/- asteroid bodies.
DDx:
- Granuloma annulare.
- Necrobiosis lipoidica - has plasma cells.
- Granuloma-forming infections - positive stains for microorganisms.
