Abdominal pannus is the pathology specimens corresponding to an abdominoplasty (also known as tummy tuck). It is generally considered a ditzel.

General

  • An apron-like excess of skin - following weight loss.[2]
  • Seen in obesity.

Gross

  • Skin with abundant fat.
    • Pieces usually triangular.
    • Stretch marks (striae) are very common.
