Ischemic enteritis is ischemia of the small bowel.

Typically elderly and due to atherosclerosis.
Rare.
High mortality.^[1]
May occur together with ischemia of the colon, i.e. ischemic colitis, in which case it is known as ischemic enterocolitis.
