Post-infectious glomerulonephritis, abbreviated PIGN, is a rarely biopsied glomerulonephritis classically associated with a streptococcal infection.
General
- Classically post-streptococcal infection.
- Lab test: Antistreptolysin O titer (ASOT) +ve.
Microscopic
Features:
- +/-Neutrophils - in glomerulus.
- Glomerular crescents.
