Adenoma is a benign tumour composed of glands.
The -oma ending implies benign; however, it should be noted that there are several exceptions. Melanomas and sarcomas are malignant!

Gastrointestinal pathology
- Serous microcystic adenoma of the pancreas.
- Gastric tubular adenoma.
- Tubular adenoma of the stomach.
- Pyloric gland adenoma.
- Sessile serrated adenoma.
- Hepatic adenoma.
- Tubular adenoma of the gastrointestinal tract (tubular adenoma, tubulovillous adenoma, villous adenoma).

- Metanephric adenoma.
- Papillary adenoma.
- Mesonephric adenoma (nephrogenic adenoma).
