Serositis is inflammation of a serous membrane.
General
- Relatively common.
- Seen in peritonitis, luminal performation.
- May be iatrogenic.[1]
- Can be seen in systemic lupus erythematosus.[2]
Microscopic
Features:
- Neutrophils -- classically lined-up at serous membrane.
