Abdominal pannus is the pathology specimens corresponding to an abdominoplasty (also known as tummy tuck).
Pannus redirects here; pannona has been proposed as better term.[1]
Panniculus also redirects here.
General
Gross
- Skin with abundant fat.
- Pieces usually triangular.
- Stretch marks (striae) are very common.
Notes:
- The gross pathology section of the report should say something like: On sectioning no lesions were identified.
- The cut-up is described in abdominal pannus grossing.
