Tumour regression can occur as a consequence of treatment or sporadically.

- +/-Fibrosis.
 - +/-Mucin.
 - +/-Inflammation.
 
Grading of tumour regression
There is a three tiered regression grading system by Ryan et al.[3]
Note:
- There are specific criteria for malignant melanoma.
