Standardized uptake value, abbreviated SUV, is a semi-quantitative measure in PET scans.
Non-small cell lung cancer
Main article: Non-small cell lung cancer
- The SUV of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose of the primary tumour is a predictor of lymph node metastases in a multivariate analysis.[1]
- Cut-off: 9.3.
- Sensitivity ~75%.
- Specificity ~54%.
- Cut-off: 9.3.
- The ratio of the SUV node/SUV primary tumour (SUVN/SUVT) is better predictor than the maximal (node) SUV (SUVmax).[2]
- Cut-off: 0.28.
- Sensitivity 90%.
- Specificity 68%.
- Cut-off: 0.28.
