Testicular abscess, also abscess of the testis, is a rare occurrence.
General
- May mimic a testicular tumour.[1]
Clinical:[2]
- Scrotal pain.
- Scrotal swelling.
Microscopic
Features:
- Abundant neutrophils.
- +/-Microorganisms.
DDx:
- Germ cell neoplasia in situ.
- Lymphoma of the testis.
- Necrotic germ cell tumour.
