Human herpesvirus-8, abbreviated HHV-8, is a virus that causes cancer.
General
Associated with a number of cancers:
- Kaposi sarcoma.[1]
- Primary effusion lymphoma.
- Body cavity lymphoma.
- LBCL arising in HHV-8 associated multicentric Castleman disease.
Other:
- Castleman disease, plasma cell variant.
Microscopic
- No light microscopic changes.
IHC
- Usually HHV-8 +ve.
