Serositis is inflammation of a serous membrane.

Features:

  • Neutrophils -- classically lined-up at serous membrane.

OOPHRECTOMY:
- LEIOMYOMATA WITH FOCAL DEGENERATIVE CHANGES AND HEMORRHAGE.
- NONPROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIAL GLANDS WITH STROMAL DECIDUALIZATION,
  CONSISTENT WITH EXOGENOUS HORMONES.
- RIGHT OVARY WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT PATHOLOGY.
- LEFT UTERINE TUBE FOCUS OF CALCIFICATION AND EDEMA, OTHERWISE UNREMARKABLE.
- RIGHT UTERINE TUBE WITH FOCAL ACUTE SEROSITIS (FAVOUR IATROGENIC), OTHERWISE
  UNREMARKABLE.
- UTERINE CERVIX WITHIN NORMAL LIMITS.
